i found the refurbished room stylish. it was comfortable and had a great view. the food in the bar was also delicious. the location offered plenty to explore and relax.
the table tennis bats were broken and needed replacement. the scottish breakfast did not include lorne sausage so it did not feel scottish.

I appreciated the fine view of Schiehallion and Loch Rannoch right from the hotel entrance. The staff provided really good service. I found the food lovely and the bar staff particularly excellent. I especially enjoyed the spa and various activities the hotel offered.
The gym opening time was sometimes slightly delayed.

A romantic scottish escape

The hotel was in a gorgeous location. Our room featured modern decor and was very CLEAN. The pool was of a good size for swimming and provided a quiet retreat. The staff were AMAZING. From reception to the spa, they were all friendly and helpful.
I found that pre-ordering meals for a group of seven seemed excessive. splitting the bill became an absolute NIGHTMARE because of the refusal to accommodate it.

cheap meatslow service
i had a few issues. the food was really a bummer at dinner and breakfast. i think five pounds for some cheese on two burgers is insane, especially because the meat tasted cheap. breakfast buffet was basic, and the pastries weren't fresh. the waitstaff wasn't good and was slow to serve. one even slammed her bag on the bar while complaining about hating her job. the shower barely worked. it leaked all over the floor.

some issues with my stay
warm startersdry mains
my dinner was presented as a fine dining experience. it was expensive but the starters were warm not hot. the mains were all dry as if sitting out for a while and there were no vegetables either. breakfast was like a roadside buffet it was very disappointing.

My room had matching furniture and pleasant decor. I slept well because the bed was firm, yet comfortable. I found plenty of sitting areas for relaxation!
